Private Lessons

We would love to provide individual or private group lessons/tours to meet your specific needs.

We offer lessons & tours on x-country skiing (classic & skate technique), mountain biking (regular mountain bike & winter fat bike), hiking, backcountry camping adventures, navigation.

Through private lessons, we hope to provide a relaxed session where your needs are the priority and our focus. We will provide skill development starting with your current level and provide technique tips, along with an introduction of the local trails.

Coaches are CANSI, NCCP, PMBIA & 40hr Adventure Medic Certified

Private Lesson/Tour Pricing:

1 -2 people (min 1.5 hrs) Starting at $127.50/person for a 1.5hr lesson

3+ people private group lesson (min 1.5 hrs) Starting at $112.50/person for a 1.5hr lesson

Guided Trail Ride = $35/person/2h, min 3people

Sessions will be at West Bragg Creek Trails Day Use Area unless other arrangements are made.

The Handle-Bar provides a non competitive, inclusive environment to learn and grow as a mountain bike rider and outdoor enthusiast. Our beginner weekend courses will introduce you to the basic skills to navigate your adventure successfully. During our sessions, our mission is to give you the skills needed to go on your own adventure on green trails through skills development and knowledge of the trails in the area. We will spend equal time establishing new skills and implementing the new skills on trail rides. All of our sessions will end with a picnic provided by the Handle-Bar.

Skill Level

Beginners are those who want to develop their skills. You are active 2-3h/week. You can ride your bike on flat ground but have little experience riding on uneven ground. You can ride in hilled terrain for 1.5 hours with short rest breaks.

Bike Maintenance and repair

Our Bike maintenance clinics are held by a professional mechanic and as a two-part clinic. "The Basics" and "Intermediate Repairs".  

Learn the necessities on how to repair your bike on the trail.

The course will run from 5pm -7pm at the Handle-Bar Adventure side.
